It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
3 Fundamental mathematical computations
MATLAB language is one of the most widely used computer mathematics languages in the world. It has been applied successfully in a variety of disciplines, and has become the top-ranked computer language in many scientific and engineering categories.
In this chapter, essential mathematical computations in MATLAB are presented first. In Section 3.1, basic arithmetic operations with matrices are summarized, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Transposes and powers of matrices are also presented.
