Appendix B. Connection Parameters That Affect MDX

This Appendix collects all of the connection parameters that affect MDX usage and results in Microsoft Analysis Services 2000 and Analysis Services 2005. The OLE DB for OLAP and ADO MD identifiers for them are both provided. This includes most of the implemented connection parameters for Analysis Services.

A list of the connection parameters and the Microsoft product versions that implement them are shown in Table B-1. The fact that no client-side processing of queries takes place in Analysis Services 2005 means that several connection string parameters that controlled the behavior of this functionality in Analysis Services 2000 are now deprecated.
