In Part 3 we offer the lessons that we have learned from our research in producing this book. Much of what we say here is derived from the wisdom and reflection of the people we have interviewed and the insight of our collaborators.

We, as authors, have identified the crucial issues in executive mentoring, and we take full responsibility for this choice. However, we were hugely helped in coming to a view about the issues by a number of directors who feature in one capacity or another in Part 2 of this book.
