10.6. THE INVERTED PYRAMID DESIGN

Making EPS assets available to a learner is not simply a matter of availability. If it were, EPS might end up no more effective than the e-learning assets appropriate for the first two moments of need. There is a structure that can be applied when designing a total support solution, and it is one that needs to keep mastery in mind.

Figure 2 (next page) illustrates a complementary layered structure that helps meet all five moments of need. The learner is represented by the target shown in the middle.
