Connections

Connections are new to this version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and although originally designed to replace Relationships, both are available as options in the system.

Note

Relationships were to have been deprecated in this version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and only available in upgraded scenarios. However, both are still available in the system. That being said, be sure to use Connections, and not relationships, going forward.

Connections (as the name implies) are the connections or relationships between one entity and another. Connections are established via connection roles. Connection roles are found in Settings, Business Management (see Figure 19.20).
