Availability of Filtered Lookups

Filtered lookups are available on every entity where there is a lookup field. Figure 14.1 shows a new Account form. For illustrative purposes throughout this chapter, the focus is on the Primary Contact lookup, which is used to set the value for person who is the main contact at an Account, highlighted in Figure 14.1.

Note

Filtered lookups do not take the place of security permissions, as users will still only see the records that they have the permission to view.
