Workflow Basics

Before digging into Workflow development, let’s briefly review what Workflow means in IT terms.

A Workflow is basically a series of functions or methods called steps that are performed sequentially. The flow can change the processing direction of the sequential steps by using conditionals referred to as Conditional Branches. Figure 20.1 shows a simple sample conditional Workflow as it would appear on a flowchart.
