Web Services Fundamentals

Microsoft Dynamics CRM uses the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concept, which implements a series of Web Services to provide extensibility support. By using these Web Services, we can integrate other applications and systems with Microsoft CRM, as well as extend its capabilities.

Web Services are based on Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) messages. This protocol uses Extended Markup Language (XML), which provides usability through Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) communication transports.
