Chapter 2. Creating Artwork and Text

Microsoft Expression Blend is packed with more tools than you’ll need for most application development. From basic artwork tools to prebuilt controls such as sliders and tabs, Expression Blend’s toolset enables you to quickly craft the nuts and bolts of your layout.

Touring the Tools

The Blend Toolbox is located to the left of the authoring environment. Some 37 tools are available in the Toolbox and its fly-out panels, as shown in Figure 2.1. Each tool enables you to add or modify elements in your Blend project.
