Rich Site Summary, now commonly called Really Simple Syndication (RSS), is an XML format that enables simplified publication of news feeds, listings, blogs, and other data. Microsoft Outlook 2010 provides RSS support directly in Outlook, enabling you to subscribe to and read RSS feeds from a variety of sources. For example, you might subscribe to your favorite news site, a sports site, and a blog or two. The data shows up in Outlook, organized neatly into folders. Reading an RSS item is as easy as reading an e-mail message.
