Lesson 11Customize Project Information
In Lesson 10, “View Project Information,” you learned how to manipulate your plan's data in different views to show exactly what you need.
This lesson takes your knowledge of Microsoft Project views a step further. In this lesson, you get an introduction to formatting and customizing sheet views, Gantt views, and board views to better suit your needs. You'll also explore a sampling of basic Project options to fine-tune your project plan to your working preferences.
Customize a Sheet View
Any Project view that includes a grid of rows and columns is considered a sheet view. Your most commonly used sheet views in Project include the Task Sheet, Resource Sheet, and Current Sprint Sheet.
As you might expect for any spreadsheet, you can modify the style of text in the cells, rows, and columns. This includes setting the font and size, changing a font or background color, or applying bold or italic. You can also adjust text alignment and text wrapping.
To format individual text in a sheet view:
- In Project, display the sheet view, then select the text you want to format.
