A cube must contain at least one dimension, and the dimension must exist before you create the cube. As you saw in Chapter 2, the Cube Wizard can spawn the Dimension Wizard to make it possible for you to create dimensions as part of the process of creating a cube. If you are using only the editors, you will probably create dimensions before creating a cube.
A star-schema dimension has only one dimension table, which makes it a convenient place to become familiar with the Dimension Editor.
