Modifying the My Site Host can be a daunting task. It is not like other sites that can be simply modified by adding or removing Web Parts via the web user interface or by using Microsoft SharePoint Designer. Even though there are some parts of the My Site Host that can be modified in this manner, many parts cannot, so keeping all the My Site parts looking consistent requires some work.
