Chapter 11. Profile Properties

The profile properties determine the data that is used to represent a user. Some of this data will come from an external data source such as Active Directory, and some of it will be added by the user via the My Site user interface. No matter where the data comes from, the information is stored in the profile database (which by default is named Profile DB).
