Changing the Appearance of Master Pages
In this section, you see how to modify a master page based on the out-of-the-box v4.master page, including repositioning of ribbon and navigation.
Note
The examples in this section assume that you’ve created the sample.master page, from the exercise in the earlier section entitled “Creating a New Master Page Based on the v4.master Page.” If you have not, then you need to go back and create the master page in order to work with examples in this section. Additionally, this section assumes that you are familiar with creating CSS files and using the <SharePoint:CssRegistration> control to associate CSS files to your master page. If you are not then you should refer to Chapter 16.
