Adding Actions to Tasks

You can customize the overall task process by adding, removing, or updating existing actions and conditions. Changes made here are made only to this instance of the approval task. This is unlike changes made directly to the out-of-the-box workflows, which are permanent and irreversible, and that is why you should always copy the out-of-the-box workflows and only modify the copy. Figure 27.39 shows the Task Expires step as part of the single task behavior. As you can see an email is sent to the person to whom the task is assigned notifying him the task has not been completed by its due date.
