IN THIS CHAPTER
To populate a multidimensional object with data, you have to specify the way the object maps to the relational schema. For example, to populate a dimensional attribute with data, you must define how the dimension member’s names and keys map to columns in the relational database table. You start the mapping by defining a Data Source View (DSV)—the Analysis Services object that defines a layer of abstraction on top of the relational database.
