3. Working with Text
There are four options for creating text on the Surface tablet: the onscreen keyboard, a stylus, a physical keyboard, and writing or drawing with your finger. You can also highlight text on the screen using your finger or a stylus to do things like cut, copy, and paste. Whichever you choose, it’s simple to switch to another input format. This chapter walks you through the variety of keyboards available, how to insert emoticons in text fields, and how to improve handwriting recognition results.
