8. Bing and Internet Explorer

Although you can use Bing and Internet Explorer (IE) to get online, they are two separate apps on the Windows RT Surface tablet. IE10 offers a full web experience. IE10 is where you’ll store bookmarks, and it’s what delivers everything else you might expect from a web browser.

Bing is what you’ll use to search the web. Search results are provided in a graphical user interface. Tapping a selection launches Internet Explorer and delivers a full web experience. Bing has some fun features, such as hotspots that provide a little more information about the image on the screen. Bing also powers the Maps app.
