Manually Compiling configuration.mof on Test Client
To have Configuration Manager 2012 inventory the information, the class has to be instantiated into an existing WMI repository. This will be done on a test client.
On a test Configuration Manager client system (WS3), copy the configuration.mof to a test directory such as c:\test. Then execute the following two commands:
• mofcomp.exe check configuration.mof
• mofcomp.exe configuration.mof
The first command will check the syntax of the configuration.mof file and the second command will compile the configuration.mof into the WMI repository of the local system. Figure 5.9 shows the results of the commands.
