VMM Fabric Resources
On a high level, there are three resource pools that make up the fabric, as follows:
• Servers
• Networking
• Storage
Within these three major resource areas, a number of individual elements can be discovered, defined, and configured, collectively making up the fabric that powers a private cloud. Figure 13.1 shows these resource areas displayed within the VMM Administrator Console. The following sections provide an overview of these three resource pools and the types of individual resource elements that can be defined within each.
