Chapter 1. Designing Complex Hierarchies

The essential component to a well-performing hierarchy is a good design. Without a good design, you can find yourself having issues in your environment, such as under- or over-utilized resources or an environment that does not meet the initial requirements. The design should be a single point where everyone can look and see how the hierarchy should be built, operated, and maintained.
