Creating the Distribution Point
There is no one right way to build a distribution point for Windows XP Professional. The folder structure that I use is based on trial and error over time and it reflects my own quirks. Feel free to customize my suggestions to suit your requirements.
Figure 7-3 tells you more about how I organize distribution points than I can describe with text alone. The top folder is the shared distribution point. The root folder contains three files.
