Microsoft Windows Terminal Services (WTS) was introduced for Microsoft Windows NT 4 Server with the separate Terminal Server Edition. However, starting with Microsoft Windows 2000, and continuing in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, it is a fully integrated part of all Windows servers, at least in the Remote Desktop for Administration mode (equivalent to what was called Remote Administration Mode in Windows 2000 Server)—simply another service.
