SECTION 1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

1.1 ORGANIZATION OF DOCUMENT

This document is divided into four major sections and includes appendices. Section 1 introduces the MC 145190/91 EVK, lists its major features, and lists the contents of this evaluation kit. Section 2 contains a functional block diagram for the EVKs, and Section 3 outlines how to setup and use the board. Section 4 describes further operation of the board.

1.2 INTRODUCTION

The MC145190EVK and MC145191EVK are two versions of the same board that allow evaluation and demonstration of the Motorola MC145190 and MC145191 Frequency Synthesizers. The MC145190/91EVK is factory populated and tested with the MC145190F on the MC145190EVK and with the MC145191F on the MC145191EVK. A sample of the other device is included in this kit for those who wish to evaluate the alternate chip. In addition. the board may be modified to evaluate the MC145192.

Figure 1 is a simplified block diagram of the MC145190/91EVK.
