Same Launch Point, Different Timeframes

If MIDAS curves are started from the same date on two different timeframe charts, for instance a daily bars chart and a weekly bars chart, are they the same curve? To illustrate this question, let's see how it illuminates what at first seems like a problem. Figure 2.13 is the daily bars chart of Aetna, ticker AET, as it came up from the March 2009 low. The curve is the S curve launched from that low. Notice how that large black candle in late April forcefully breaks through the curve, but thereafter price goes no lower.
