Chapter 15. Creating and Validating Models

Tools1 are essential to the creation and validation of embedded system models. The AADL standard facilitates the integration of tools into a cohesive engineering environment through a standardized Meta model and XML interchange format specification for AADL.

15.1. Model Creation

You can create AADL models textually or graphically by using any of the AADL tools mentioned in Section 15.2. Figure 15-1 shows the layout of the user interface for OSATE. On the left you can see the workspace in a navigator view. It shows an AADL model organized as a single Eclipse project and split into a number of AADL packages.
