This chapter is about scaling. We will look at reasons why enterprises must be ready to scale, both up and down. The key is in the hands of the customer: the enterprise that is able to forecast the demands of the customer will be able to forecast its business and make sure that capacity and capabilities are utilized in an optimized manner.
