Abstract:
Grinding and finishing processes are fast becoming the standard choice of machining, especially in the rapidly growing areas of automotive and aerospace industrial sectors. This chapter provides practical data for the selection of grinding and finishing operations applied to these industrial sectors and includes a guide on the selection of grinding wheels, dressing wheels and process parameters. The chapter concludes with a brief explanation of superfinishing processes that are highly dependent upon the skills of the machine operator.
