Chapter 3.2Data Management in Practice

Data management is not a simple robotic operation that is performed by dragging and dropping files on a computer desktop. It requires organization and discipline and must be managed in such a way as to prevent bottlenecks or slowdowns, identify and correct problems early in the production pipeline, and transmit the data effectively to the various departments for viewing, editing and archiving.
