In this chapter, we learned about securing Swarm Mode and the Docker Software Supply Chain. We talked about some best practices on how to secure a Docker Swarm cluster to use in production. We then proceeded to Notary, a secure delivery mechanism to allow Docker Content Trust. This chapter ended with an overview of a new feature in Docker 1.13: the Secrets management. We showed how we could use Docker Secret to securely deploy MySQL MariaDB server without passing the root password via the environment. In the next chapter, we're going to discover how to deploy Swarm on some of the public cloud providers and on OpenStack.
