5.1 Assessing and Navigating Complexity
In order to navigate complexity, an assessment of the program or project may help practitioners, sponsors, and senior management recognize the existence of complexity and identify the possible causes. Since most programs and projects today have some elements of complexity, an early and iterative assessment of complexity is needed to enable an informed view of the program or project under consideration.
