Every digital photographer I know has taken photographs using what I call the green zone, or auto zone, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I still hang out there from time to time. The Nikon D610 has done an incredible job of simplifying some of the most complex camera settings and creating an excellent baseline for many shots. In this chapter, we’re going to focus on how to use the built-in scene modes and on the advantages that even more experienced photographers can gain from using these presets.
