It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER 3
Setting Up the Nikon D7000
One of the great things about an upper-level camera like the D7000 is that it's highly customizable. You can tailor the D7000 options to fit your shooting style, help refine your workflow, or modify the camera settings to fit different shooting scenarios. You can assign a number of buttons to the functions you use most often. Using the My Menu feature, you can create your own personal list of menu options so that you don't have to scroll through all the menu options to get to the ones you access most frequently. Most of these options are used to change things that you don't need to change very often or quickly.
Customizing your camera settings allows you to be completely familiar with your camera, so you don't miss a shot.
Accessing Menus
You access the menus by pressing the Menu button on the back of the camera. Use the Multi-selector to scroll through the toolbar on the right side of the LCD screen. When the desired menu is highlighted in yellow, press the OK button or Multi-selector right to enter the menu. Pressing the Menu button again or tapping the Shutter Release button exits the Menu mode screen and readies the camera for shooting.
Playback Menu
