Chapter 25. The modelling method and technique

You will recall from Chapter 5 how we respond to external events from the internal representations we make as a result of filtering sensory input. The filters we use act to generalise, delete, and distort sensory information, and this is how we each form our own unique model of the world. This is the process of modelling. When we want to find out how a person performs a particular skill, we need to discover how they are generalising, deleting, and distorting to create their unique ‘model of the world’ in the context of performing the skill.???
