Using Your NOOK Tablet at a Barnes and Noble Store

You can use your NOOK Tablet at any WiFi hotspot, but it really shows off its stuff when you use it at any Barnes & Noble store. When you go into the store, your NOOK Tablet automatically connects to its WiFi hotspot (if you’ve got the tablet and WiFi turned on, of course). You should immediately notice an “IN-STORE” banner over the Shop button in your Quick Nav Bar, as shown in Figure 2-4.

Now the fun begins. Tap Shop. You’ll be welcomed to the specific location of your Barnes & Noble (Nashua, New Hampshire in Figure 2-5) and invited to connect. After tapping Connect To Shop, you’ll arrive a special page that includes links to More in Store section (Figure 2-6) that offers you free extra content you won’t find anywhere else, such as articles by authors of popular books, review roundups, and more.
