Navigating the Excel Interface, Worksheets, and Workbooks

With a workbook open, you see the worksheets it contains. Figure 11–2 shows a workbook that has data entered on various worksheets. The labels on the figure indicate what the main elements of the Excel user interface do.

NOTE: Selecting a column heading selects that whole column, enabling you to format all the cells in the column or enter data in them all at once. Similarly, selecting a row heading selects the whole row, enabling you to work with it as a whole.
