So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Database monitors have existed on DB2 UDB for iSeries for many releases, but the usability
of these monitors takes a big step forward in
V5R4 DB2 for i5/OS with addition of both pre-
and
post-filters. These filters are very similar to the filters that were available with the SQL
Plan Cache viewer
. Database monitor filters are important for a couple of reasons. First, the
filters can minimize the overhead and disk space consumed by a database monitor collection.
