Chapter 11. Innovative Research Ideas Using OpenACC, Part I
This chapter, along with Chapter 12, is dedicated to examining the directions being taken by new research on the OpenACC programming model. We discuss several innovative ideas, highlighting the feasibility and adaptability of the model to target more hardware platforms than only the conventional ones. In section 11.1, Lin Gan, a researcher from Tsinghua University and the National Supercomputing Center in Wuxi, China, presents the use of OpenACC on the Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer, which ranks first in the Top500 list as of November 2016.
