Your First Instant Portal

To create your first Instant Portal, log in to OracleAS Portal and select the Build tab. At the bottom of the Build tab, you’ll see a portlet entitled Oracle Instant Portal (Figure 12-1). From here, you can type a name in the Name field and create a new Instant Portal.

We’ll talk about the XML file text box in a second. When you enter a name and click Create, you are presented with a screen similar to Figure 12-2. On this screen, you’ll see the basics of what an OracleAS Instant Portal looks like. On the top middle of the screen is a small toggle button.
