Availability of the Dynamic Performance Data Dictionary Views
Specific dynamic performance data dictionary views are available based on the status of the instance, as follows:
Dynamic performance data dictionary views that provide information specifically about the instance (e.g., V$PARAMETER) are available immediately upon the instance being started. Table 14.4 lists these views.
Dynamic performance data dictionary views that provide information stored in the control files (e.g., V$LOGHIST) are available once the database has been mounted. Table 14.5 lists these views.
Dynamic performance data dictionary views that provide information about how the kernel is processing SQL statements (e.g., V$SQLAREA) are available once the database has been opened. Table 14.6 lists these views.
