Migrating from Microsoft SQL Server to Oracle
As we saw back in Chapter 8, Oracle GoldenGate provides a method of migrating from one Oracle system to another Oracle system with little or no downtime. In addition to enabling you to migrate from an Oracle database to another Oracle database, GoldenGate enables you to perform cross-platform migrations from any supported GoldenGate platform to any other GoldenGate platform.
