Implementing Single Sign-On
Oracle E-Business Suite Single Sign-On (SSO) is a feature that allows you to log in once and only once to an Oracle application’s environment. Now in conjunction with Oracle Application Server 10g, this can be extended to include SSO across products (for example, Oracle E-Business Suite and a custom application) based around a common deployment topology. Within this section, we will look at the common method of performing SSO and then look at specific deployment vendor profiles (for example, Microsoft Windows Native Authentication).
Before we continue, let’s look at the basic SSO authentication method provided in Figure 5-4.
