Host and Database Performance Monitoring
Performance monitoring for databases, compute nodes, and storage cells in an Exadata Database Machine can be performed using a number of available operating system tools, Oracle scripts, and Oracle Enterprise Manager. Exadata’s compute nodes run either Oracle Linux or Solaris 11 Express, and Exadata Storage Servers run Oracle Linux. As such, both traditional Linux and Solaris performance-monitoring tools are available to the Exadata DMA to monitor server performance.
