Elimination
Before we move on from consolidation rules, there was one big part we didn’t cover. It is the Elimination subroutine. We sent the account and ICP members from the data record within the data unit to a Sub Eliminate routine. That is where we will test to see if it is to be eliminated. Let’s walk through these rules, and take a look at Figure 3-15. This was taken right from the Sample Applications provided with HFM. You could take this rule as it is, without any modification, although you could remove the commented lines for ElseIf and HS.Parent. These rules provide a great starting point for building something more complex.
