Editing Environments for PL/SQL
As I mentioned earlier. you can use a “lowest common denominator” editing and execution environment like SQL*Plus or you can use a integrated development environment that offers extensive graphical interfaces to improve your productivity. This section lists some of the most popular of the IDE tools. I do not recommend any particular tool; you should carefully define the list of requirements and priorities you have for such a tool and then see which of them best meets your needs.
