The manual creation of Oracle's various network configuration files can be somewhat daunting, especially to those inexperienced with Oracle. Oracle provides the Network Configuration Assistant, or NetCA, to help with this task. Interactive use of the assistant is reasonably well-documented and will not be covered here. NetCA doesn't lend itself quite so readily to automation as the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI), but it does have certain limited capabilities.
