The TIMING command lets you start, stop, or display the value of a timer. Timers let you measure elapsed time, and are described in Chapter 8 .
TIMI[NG] [START [timer_name ] | SHOW | STOP]where:
Is the command, and may be abbreviated to TIMI.
Starts a new timer, and optionally gives it the name you provide.
Shows the current value of the most recently started timer.
Stops the most recently started timer, shows its current value, then deletes it.
