23. Fonts
Fonts are typefaces that appear onscreen and in printed documents. When they’re properly installed, they appear on all Font menus and in font lists.
OS X, which has long been a favorite operating system among design professionals who work extensively with fonts, has several tools for managing fonts and using them in documents:
• Font Book is an application that enables you to install, preview, search, activate, and deactivate fonts with an easy-to-use interface.
• The Fonts panel enables you to apply and manage fonts within documents.
• The Character Viewer makes it easy to insert special characters in your documents.
