Foreword

Thanks to a training route so comprehensive it can at times feel never ending, newly qualified architects are some of the most committed, passionate, energetic and diligent professionals around. Gaining the Part 3 qualification, and with it the ability to register as an architect, is a significant moment in every architect’s career; finally crossing the threshold to the profession after so many years of study. The opportunities and recognition that arrive with qualification are matched only by the standards and responsibilities that must now be grappled with. This handbook offers an invaluable framework for qualification to students and will help allay much of the trepidation associated with the huge breadth of the course.
